African Eagle Day Tours was established in 1997 based on the realisation that whilst a good number of passengers arrived on our shores for tours in Cape Town in organised groups; an even larger portion arrived as individuals who hadn’t planned the full details of their stay before landing. We therefore identified the need for flexible touring solutions and created a company that could provide organised tours in Cape Town as well as Safari Tours (from half-days to four days) for single travellers, small groups and even fully tailor-made private or group tours.
We have also established a scheduled guaranteed departure day tour service that operates 365 days of the year with no minimums on the number of passengers – allowing us to accept last minute bookings or extra passengers on pre-packaged or published tours. Simply put, we are the go to guys when looking for last minute full or day tours in Cape Town.
In 2005 African Eagle Day Tours merged with Grassroute Tours, a black owned company specialising in township tours and cultural experiences, in a ground-breaking empowerment deal. This was hailed by the Minister for Tourism, Lynne Brown, who stated.
