We serve seafood and South African traditional “boerekos” – from our Bosduifklip Musselkebab, home made pickled fish, waterblommetjie stew to the best Spitbraai lamb you have ever tasted and end it all with the softest “souskluitjies” –sweet dumplings in a cinnamon sauce.
Bosduifklip open air restaurant is situated on a Sandveld farm only 4 km outside the beautiful West Coast town of Lamberts Bay. Here, along the old winding road in the heart of the Sandveld, surrounded by ancient rock formations and huge concave cliffs - the whole caboodle; bride and bridegroom, best man and bridesmaid, mums and dads, grannies and kids, neighbors and friends, can linger undisturbed, relax and enjoy one of the most enjoyable and unforgettable weddings.
You will all experience a way of life long lost in other places. The open air part of the restaurant (that can accommodate 150 people) is situated and nestles against the lee of the huge rock overlooking the Jakkals River. Hundreds of birds built their nests in the reeds and this also adds to the very special atmosphere of Bosduifklip.
Weddings
The restaurant is situated over the original blacksmith shop that was built in1870 as well as the stone sheep kraal. The undercover area is used during the colder months of the year and for lunches. Most of the wedding couples have the wedding ceremony in the undercover area. It just has a very special feel to it - standing next to the huge ancient rock saying your wedding vows - very special!
