As a family owned and operated business, Espresso Bakery has established itself over the past 18 years as the preferred bakery supplier to Cape Town’s premier hotels, corporate institutions and catering distributors.
From humble beginnings in a small hole-in-the-wall shop in the City Centre, the bakery was moved to Woodstock in 2001, where the focus shifted to providing a 5-star service to 5-star clients. The business grew quickly as word spread of our customer service-oriented approach and we were soon supplying a wide range of clients across all walks of city life.
In 2006 another move was needed to increase our production capacity – literally overnight, every oven, mixer, bread pan and flour bag was moved to a roomy warehouse in Paardeneiland and we were baking again the very next day. The following 8 years saw Espresso going from strength to strength, and with the gradual introduction of our Quality Management System (based on GFSI / ISO 22000 standards) we began to supply to large corporates, airlines and retailers – always with a focus on service excellence, consistency and reliability.
