Description
The Good Shepherd Catholic Church is situated in Bothasig and falls under the Archdiocese of Cape Town. The Parish serves the suburbs of Bothasig, Edgemead, Richwood, Monte Vista and Plattekloof Glen. The Church of the Good Shepherd in Bothasig was officially opened on 30 September 1973 by his Eminence Owen, Cardinal McCann. In January 2016, Rev. Fr. Ivanhoe Allies became our new parish priest. Over the course of the last 40 years we have seen God do some amazing thing in our midst as a Church. Today we are very proud to have a strong parish with over 400 families and 25 Ministry Groups that support us and this Church. We are also very blessed to have in place our Perpetual Adoration Chapel which is available 24/7. Over the years we have hosted many activities in our Parish and are considered a strong community partner in times of need.
