Situated in the characterful Victorian building that was once home to the peerless Savoy Cabbage, Macau Asian Tavern offers Capetonians a taste of Macanese cuisine (a flavour-rich combination of Portuguese and Chinese influences originating in the south China province of Macau).
The restaurant is a collaboration between charismatic master chef Lai Kuan Geo (formerly Kitima at The Kronendal in Hout Bay) and restaurateur extraordinaire Seelan Sundoo (of Sundoo South Indian Tapas in Sea Point; Chicha, also in Sea Point; and Seelan Bistro & Bar at the V&A Waterfront).
