Launched on 18 June 2013, POWER 98.7 was licenced by ICASA in December 2011 with the last frequency in Gauteng under the existing spectrum planning.
POWER 98.7 is an English medium, 24-hour full service adult contemporary talk commercial radio station primarily targeting accomplished and aspirational black adults. The station offers 80% talk from Monday to Friday and 20% music line up during weekends.
The Mall of Africa store is the second remote studio, following the launch of the first one, at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) in 2014.
