Today’s Rosa‘s Bakery was opened up in 1942 from a German called Lewis. Mister Lewis was a german Jew who flee during the second world war to France and from there to Cape Town. In Cape Town he opened up the bakery in Shortmarket Street with a French flair (named French Confectionery). In the 1970’s the South African government enable a German family called Weber the emigration to Cape Town. They started to work in a hotel nearby Cape Town. Later on they took over the bakery from Mister Lewis and maintained them from 1975 to 2000. Since 2006 Rainer and Rosa are renting out the business and they are doing it very successfully. Not only at the point of sale the nice bakery shop with a nice german flair in Cape Town. Even in delivering 3 to 5 star hotels, coffee shops and restaurants. Our Principles Our personal goal is to be the very best we can in every aspect of the management of Rosa's Bakery and it's delivery of products and services to our customers. Our objective is to provide the best shopping experience possible we do so by being first in efficient service choice. We stock products that our prices remain competitive. Associates are treated with respet and we provide an atmosphere in which inviduals can grow professionally reflecting our goals towards service and commitment towards the customer.
