SA Biltong Master is a premium biltong shop chain. There are several stores situated over the Cape Town area, including Somerset West, Kuils River, and Sunningdale. Biltong and droëwors products of a large variety are our specialty and we take great care to make only the best quality products available to our clientele. What differentiates our products, is that we sell biltong that is still made according to a traditional recipe, with our own magical twist.
Our biltong shop enterprise is family owned and managed. SA Biltong Master was founded in 2012, by Johan van der Walt, both a biltong master and enthusiast himself. Johan has always been a lover of biltong and droëwors and started producing his own biltong in 1990. This hobby soon turned into an intriguing business idea, and Johan opened his first biltong shop in 2002.
With 30 years’ experience in the retail industry, Johan has an in-depth understanding about the wants and needs of consumers. He worked on the development and management of popular shopping centres in South Africa and internationally. Johan’s son, Jeandre van der Walt, joined him in this exciting business venture in 2015 and they have been supplying delicious, A-grade quality biltong and droëwors to residents ever since.
