In 2000, THE SPACE launched as a stand-alone Durban store with a simple quest: to partner with and showcase the work of like-minded, established designers, and to give a high-visibility platform to promising young designers wherever they came from; giving them a chance to break into the business and make a living out of their passion;
even better, to thrive.
South African consumers and some savvy celebs soon got behind us and we were able to GROW. Ten stores later – plus three SPACE MAN stores – we continue to open up more shop floor for local designers whose work belongs on the main stage. If you’re one such designer, call us for more info.
