Nestled in the heart of France, the VICTOIRE bakeries have come a long way.
The VICTOIRE bakeries were created by William Galzin, from a family of bakers that built a very strong reputation of sustained quality as well as an excellent service to customers.
These popular bakeries in France have been in the family for over 60 years and is now being introduced to Cape Town!
The objective of this project is to open a French bakery on the Parliament Avenue in Cape Town. A French traditional bakery proposing high-end products aimed at the South African and French expatriates.
Each ensuing bakery will follow an identical concept whilst keeping its own character namely: Authenticity, Simplicity and Quality as the essence and footprint of the VICTOIRE bakeries. The ultimate aim would be the mixing of French cuisine into traditional South African baking. A pleasant place where the customers can take a snack in a French-style atmosphere.
Drikus Hancke was personally handpicked and trained by William Galzin in the opening of this first unique bakery in Cape Town. He is fluent in French and gained valuable experience in the French culture and food industry.
William Galzin also handpicked a French chef, Manon Vieilledent, whom is highly rated and trained in baking precisely as he does, in order to ensure the highest quality of foodstuffs that have become the trademark of these famous, special bakeries in France now to be replicated in Cape Town.
The chef will be using a unique blend of South African flours and a magic booster made from French ingredients to make each food item unique. An exciting combination of French and South African flavours.
The breads and pastries will be created with less sugar and stabilizers than that of current traditional breads and pastries in South Africa, making it the healthier option.
