Description

The first Wolraad Woltemade was established in Woodstock, but closed down after 125 years. In 1975 the current facility was erected and the Dep. Of Education asked the new school committee to use the name Wolraad Woltemade because of the heroic history of the famous Wolraad Woltemade. The school started with 490 learners and 21 staff members. The school anthem “There’s a Prince who will live in our Thinking” was written by Dirkie De Villiers and the music composed by his wife Doll De Villiers. Bothasig was named after old president P.W. Botha. The school caters for learners from all cultures, religions, genders, races, etc.
