Wynand van der Merwe Photography, Johannesburg Wedding Photographer, is a destination wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Wynand’s passion for photography started in 2005 while photographing children in Swaziland. He was privileged to capture a friend’s wedding in Israel in 2011, which ignited a flame for wedding photography. Since then he has captured weddings all over South Africa, and in 2014 he embarked on this remarkable journey of being a full-time wedding photographer. Wynand’s passion for people and their stories, fueled by hard work and dedication, has made him the photographer he is today.
He loves capturing moments that are spontaneous and real, moments that nobody really sees, moments that reflect true love, passion and joy. It’s such a joy to see the love between two individuals promising to be each others true love in front of God.
He has a documentary and journalistic approach to photography, and he captures every wedding from a unique perspective. Wynand aims to give memories to his clients that they have never seen before. He is very creative and a true storyteller. He just loves going the extra mile to create beautiful images!
